One
morning during my Japan trip I turned on the TV and ended up watching
Kimi to Idol Precure.
"Oh my goodness am I a Precure fan now? YES I AM."
It was the first episode with Cure Wink so after it was finished I went to Sunshine City and picked up
a Wink plush at Toys R Us! Even though episodes
simulcast on Saturdays stateside due to the time difference I still
wait until Sunday morning to watch the new Idol Precure episode just to
keep that tradition. :D
I had started this sketch a while back but just got around to finishing
it since I've been drawing a bunch of anime characters over the past
few days. I kept holding off because the Precure outfits are so
complex, I have no idea how they animate these week to week! :O
Once I hunkered-down to finish it I ended up having a lot of fun
working on all the details. I think the inks alone were like a
dozen different layers. Huge shout-outs to Tracy for the amazing
background and Katie for the reference pose! Eternal sparkly
magical girl hearts to both of ya! <3
