My
buddy Abe keeps putting the idea of drawing a Disney Kaori in my head
so I finally gave it a try. :D
The design was simple enough, I pretty much turned her uniform into a
long-skirted dress with a vest instead of a jacket. I wish I had
figured out how to incorporate the tie pattern into the ascot but
unfortunately I'm not that smart. This all came together easily
enough but after I finished the colors I thought the lines looked a
little too "sterile." I guess it's because that other than some
really light gradients there's almost no shading so the lineart stands
out. The inks were uniform, too uniform. It's something
that happens a lot when I digitally ink. So I went back in and
fattened some of the lines to give it a more traditional look. ^_^
