I'm
more of a KanColle fan but I decided to check out the Azur Lane anime
and, to be blunt, lost my shit when Enterprise was revealed. With
Picard season 3 currently kicking ass and taking names some long
overdue Star Trek art was in the cards.
The 1701-E is my favorite version of the ship and was my obvious choice
when starting this, as was the First Contact uniform. Though in
my defense I think the Sovereign Class's sleek design works best for
this, mimicing the long carrier parts that Azur Lane Enterprise rocks.
I made the
secondary hull the main part of her bow since quantum torpedoes are THE
BEST. The bow went through quite a few revisions and I settled on a
split pylon like the Discovery/Strange New Worlds Enterprise. I'm
not good at drawing starships at all so I cheated and took a bunch of
photos of one of my Enterprise E toys, tracing over them once I had
them cut up and placed on the sketch.
