Truly Outrageous

This
is one I did a little while ago, and finishing up a new Jem piece just
now reminded me of it. I went back and took a look, still really
liked what I saw so I decided to post it here! ^_^
Being the 1980's cartoon geek I am, I get my fair share of Jem
requests. I decided to take my shot at drawing my own little take
on the "Truly Outrageous" singer, taking that tagline to heart when
drawing this obviously XD
Needless to say, Lady Gaga was going through my head while I was
working on this piece. It was a lot of fun and I'll have to make
a note to come back to it. Jem's outfit is somewhat assymetrical,
so I thought I would really push it here. The top was the first
thing I drew in and the skirt/sash thing followed. When designing
her boots, I played with the length to match how the skirt drops to her
left. I also gave mer some body tattoos to throw some more color
into the mix, and the same goes for the blue streak in her hair.
Sure, she looks more like a Misfit here than a Hologram but
whatever. Risque outfits are a lot more fun. :3
